Dear loyal patients,
We are grateful to be back in the office and are ready to serve your periodontal needs! We hope this correspondence finds you and your family safe and healthy. We have instituted a few new protocols for both patient and staff protection:
1. Screening questions will be asked on the phone when scheduling your appointment
2. The same questions will be asked upon arrival to the office
3. Temperatures will be taken on every patient upon arrival
4. Staff temperatures are taken twice a day
5. We will limit the number of patients and practice physical distancing in the reception room
6. Before this pandemic, our disinfection protocols were already in place. We will continue to follow the CDC, ADA, and TDA guidelines while continuing to frequently clean the office.
7. You will notice all our staff in gowns, masks, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
8. We have ordered air purification systems for the office
Your oral health and well-being are our priority. Our schedule will be limited for the first few weeks in May to ensure the above-mentioned social distancing and allow for additional disinfection and operatory set-up between patients. As the weeks progress, we will adjust our office policies accordingly and keep you informed.
If you have any questions or need to schedule an appointment, please contact us at the office at (972) 964-8833. As always, we are available for any emergencies. If you require after hours emergency care, please contact Dr. Johnson at (214) 497-1017 or Dr. Jaynes at (214) 288-4248.

Sincerely,
Dr. Marshall Johnson and Dr. Elizabeth Jaynes

For people with a missing tooth or even several missing teeth, dental implants can seem like a miracle. They are a wonderful tooth replacement option, which avoids the frustration of dealing with bridges and dentures. Once in place they maintain normal jaw functioning and look very natural.
Our gums may have receded for a variety of reasons, including aggressive tooth brushing or periodontal disease. Periodontal procedures are available to stop further dental problems and gum recession, and/or to improve the esthetics of your gum line. Soft tissue grafts can be used to cover roots or develop gum tissue that is absent due to excessive gingival recession.
This dental specialty focuses on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of structural and functional membrane disease concerning the periodontal membrane and other related tissues that surround the teeth and support them. This includes disease of the gums, periodontal ligaments, and bone that hold the teeth in place. If these structures are weakened by bacteria and infection a person risks losing their one and only set of teeth.
